Brain Body Dynamics Model (BBDM)                                   previously known as Priya Autism Center

The Brain Body Dynamics Model (BBDM) for Children on the Autism Spectrum is an integrative therapy approach that combines various evidence-based practices into a cohesive framework. The Brain Body Dynamics Model program is an intensive early intervention program, running five days a week for 2.5 hours each day. The program is run by a team consisting of a speech therapist, occupational therapist, movement teacher, and support staff. The therapy services are designed to promote holistic development in the child.

BBDM  starts with the premise that

1. A healthy brain-body connection is critical for maintaining optimal physical and mental health.

2. Autistic children possess at least a near-normal IQ and have a comprehensive understanding of their surroundings.

3. Children on the autism spectrum frequently experience varying degrees of motor planning issues, known as dyspraxia, which hinder verbal expression, real-time response to requests, and consistent performance of learned skills. This can give the false impression that they are not comprehending.

4. Many of their behaviors stem from sensory integration issues and motor planning difficulties.
